“This exciting and dynamic training program focuses on interpersonal communication, customer relations and service.
It builds personal, professional and community pride and inspires a greater commitment to providing better service.”
Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), the peak state body for tourism, has formally become an AussieHost partner and will support the delivery of the national training program, which Ms Kleeman says will serve as a quality benchmark for customer service in Australia.
“AussieHost’s unique approach focuses not only on skill development, but on versatility, innovation, self reliance and self confidence and ensures that the individual takes responsibility for their service delivery.”
ARA’s then Executive Director, Mr Duncan Shaw attended the AussieHost industry launch on Wednesday 28th March 2007 in Brisbane. QTIC CEO Daniel Gschwind said at the launch that national and state research identifies service as a key area of ongoing concern for businesses in ensuring growth and success. He believes AussieHost is an established product that addresses this need.
AussieHost retains a high level of recognition in the tourism industry, however, the ‘tourism scope’ has been expanded to include a variety of service industries including retail, transport, security and finance.
This broader focus recognises that these service industries add to the tourism experience and their quality service contributes substantially to repeat tourism business and profit.
