The Australian Fair Pay Commission has also announced the discontinuation of drafting new Australian Pay and Classification Scales, as this process is considered by the AFPC to “overlap with and duplicate the award modernisation process announced by the Government”.
The AFPC will continue to set and adjust federal minimum wages until the establishment of Fair Work Australia in 2010.
