On 5 September 2007 ARA will hold an important one day conference on the future of Australian workplace relations for members to hear from key decision makers and players in the current industrial relations debate. The Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, the Honourable Joe Hockey, will open the event to be held in Melbourne. Other confirmed speakers include:
- Professor Ian Harper, Chairman, the Australian Fair Pay Commission
- Peter Anderson, Director of Workplace Policy, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Senator Steve Fielding, Family First
- Nick Wilson, Workplace Ombudsman (formerly head of the Office of Workplace Services)
- Christena Singh, Author Sensis Business Index and Consumer Reports.
A number of other speakers are yet to be confirmed. A special luncheon speaker is anticipated.
This conference brings together key decision makers and others in the present debate over the future of workplace relations in Australia and is not to be missed by retailers.
