Take another look, its the new face of fashion. Spring Summer 2008/2009

Revealing a fresh new look and bringing together the most exciting new and established fashion labels from across Australia and overseas, FASHION EXPOSED & preview returns to the Sydney Exhibition Centre from 9 - 11 March, 2008.

FASHION EXPOSED and the co-located preview has long been considered a platform for Australian and international labels launching into the market. With initiatives such as the International Designer Showcase (having previously launched Belgian and Israeli designers to great applause) and the emerging designer competition debut, this season's event brings an unparalleled offer to buyers seeking hot new looks for Spring/Summer 2008-09, new labels, hot topics in fashion and the next big thing. Not to be missed labels exhibiting for the first time include the new celebrity favourite Hale Bob (worn by Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek), V & M Clothing, the internationally successful Da Da & Co, Terrene Searle, Edgar (cool essentials for men and women) and many more.

Revealing new season trends and high-energy runway shows, FASHION EXPOSED & preview provides a unique opportunity for the industry to buy the latest looks, meet with industry leaders, be inspired and exchange ideas.

A 2008 initiative is the Australian Retailers Association's new ‘Hot Half Hours', addressing key industry topics including customer relations, managing retail operations and planning your product & marketing strategy. These sessions cover all aspects of proficient retail operations and link together to provide a cohesive flow of information for trade fair visitors.

The exciting and on-going development of key precincts over the past season has resulted in an easy to navigate fair with a white backdrop throughout and focal points to inspire and educate. Highlights include the launch of the new ‘Junior' (children's wear) and ‘Designer Menswear' precincts. This season's fair will provide the very best from each category.

Joining the FASHION EXPOSED family due to industry demand is Leather, Bags & Accessories, which has fast become Australia's specialist independent trade fair dedicated to showcasing the best labels in its category. This is an exciting change and will build upon the already comprehensive offer that is unique to FASHION EXPOSED.

Labels that have become household names across Australia will be participating in this year's FASHION EXPOSED. Brands such as Bonds, Berlei, Bench, Brian Rochford, Dunlop Sport, French Kitty, Jockey, Le Coq Sportif, Purr and Slazenger consider the twice yearly fairs an essential date on the fashion calendar to launch new ranges, retail initiatives and to generate new business leads.

AEC Fashion Director, Jane Harris says she is excited about this year's fair and believes the offering to exhibitors and visitors is bigger and better than ever.

"We are thrilled with the ‘new look' Fair and believe each exhibitor and visitor will benefit from the considered changes we have incorporated. Whether you are visiting your regular supplier, searching for the latest trends from around the world or looking for new names, FASHION EXPOSED and preview provides an unrivalled offer," she said.

As a result of the March 07 Fair $58 million* worth of business was estimated to have been written.

FASHION EXPOSED & preview would like to acknowledge the following organisations for their support: ARA, ARL, Austrade, Composite Retail Group, Fashion Group International, Frontline Stores and KISS FM.
